4 The Wounded 5K
2016
ParadeRest supports the 4TW5K, 4 The Wounded 5K, by encouraging its members to take part! Set in the safe, idyllic UVA Research Park in the Albemarle countryside, and located near our friends in the National Ground Intelligence Center, it has become an area tradition! Runners of all ages are welcome, as are walkers, leashed dogs and baby joggers.
The 6th Annual 4 the Wounded 5k was held on Saturday, June 4 at the UVA Research Park and raised over $110,000 for wounded warriors and their families. Local veterans organizations directly benefit due to the continuing support of 4TW5K sponsors and supporters.

Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band
Held At The Paramount Theater May 25, 2012
Musician and actor, Gary Sinise is most often recognized as the iconic “Lieutenant Dan,” a character he embodied in 1994 in the classic film Forrest Gump.
Sinise, with his appropriately named band, found an audience with military personnel at home and overseas throughout many USO tours. This special performance supported ParadeRest.
